10-Minute Broiled Chicken Tenders (Juicy & Easy!)

Need a fast, foolproof way to cook chicken?

These 10-minute broiled chicken tenders are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep. By using chicken tenders instead of full breasts, you can prep and cook up to 3.5 pounds of chicken in under 10 minutes—with no flipping required.

How to Cook Chicken in Bulk in 10 Minutes (and Why It Works)

Cooking 3–4 pounds of chicken breast in under 10 minutes sounds impossible, but this method is designed for speed and flavor!

Here’s what makes it work and WHY it’s my go-to method for chicken meal prep:

1. Use Chicken Tenders
Tenders are smaller, thinner, and more uniform than chicken breasts. They cook faster and more evenly without needing to be sliced or pounded flat.

2. Broil for Direct, High Heat
Broiling cooks from above at 500–550°F, similar to grilling. This intense heat quickly sears the outside, locking in moisture while fully cooking the interior.

3. Spread Flat, Don’t Stack
Placing tenders in a single layer ensures each piece cooks at the same rate.  So long as the pan is not crowded and tenders are not stacked, there should be no steaming.

4. Built-In Portion Control
Each tender weighs about 1.5–2 oz, making it easy to portion meals without post-cook weighing. Ideal for meal prep, macro tracking, or for family dinners where people eat different portions.

This method is perfect for batch-cooking juicy chicken that reheats well and works in salads, bowls, wraps, and beyond.

Steps

Step 1

Preheat your oven broiler (set to high).

Step 2

Add the chicken tenders to the sheet pan and pat dry. Then sprinkle with olive oil, seasonings, and salt, and mix until evenly coated.

Arrange the tenders in a single layer on the baking tray. Note: I do not use parchment or foil but if you are worried about sticking, use either to prevent food from sticking.

Step 3

Broil for 8–10 minutes, or until lightly browned and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Step 4

Rest for 1-2 minutes – on the baking tray – before serving or storing for meal prep.
