Enjoy the delicious and healthful Red Velvet Protein Waffles, a breakfast treat made with beets, Labrada Nutrition Lean Pro 8, and other healthy ingredients. In addition to pleasing the palate, these colorful waffles provide you with a protein-rich start to the day. To prepare this delicious morning treat, just follow these easy steps.
Combine Labrada Nutrition Lean Pro 8 protein powder, egg whites, oat flour (or crushed oatmeal), cooked beets, baking soda, and raw cacao powder in a food processor or mini-blender. If you can’t locate cooked beets, simply soften some raw beets by steaming them, and then add the softened beets to the batter once they’ve cooled. To create the distinctive hue, pulse-blend the materials until a thick, intense red mixture is produced.
Set the temperature of your waffle maker or mini-waffle skillet to medium-high. If your waffle iron or pan is not non-stick, simply spray baking spray or coconut oil on it to keep food from sticking.
Pour the red velvet waffle batter onto the hot surface and spread it thinly so that the waffles are correctly formed. Make sure the waffles are properly fried and baked to the desired crispiness.
Serve the waffles right after they’re done cooking. You may eat them plain or add a drizzle of raw, organic honey or a low-calorie syrup for a hint of sweetness. Prepare a cream topping by blending 2% Fage Greek yogurt, reduced-fat cream cheese, and optional raw shredded coconut in a separate bowl if you want to go with the red velvet motif. The components should be well mixed.
These Red Velvet Protein Waffles provide a protein boost plus the mouthwatering taste of red velvet, making them a guilt-free treat. These waffles will dazzle at either a quick workday breakfast or a leisurely weekend brunch. With these colorful, protein-rich goodies, you can start your day off on a tasty and balanced note!
