My name is Kevin. My life changed when I realized that healthy living is truly a lifelong journey, mainly won by having a well-balanced diet and enjoying adequate exercise. By experimenting in the kitchen and openly sharing my meals, I learned that healthy eating is hardly boring and that by making a few adjustments, I could design a diet that could help me achieve my personal fitness goals. Our bodies are built in the kitchen and sculpted in the gym.

Finding a rhythm is important when making major life changes.  It’s important to make your new activities a habit, so that they don’t feel like a chore.  Are you making time for your new healthy lifestyle?  It’s also important to understand that by changing your daily activities you will be broadening your horizons.  Embrace all of this newfound knowledge and use it to your advantage.  Let’s go!

Devotional Snippet, Chapter 3:

When we face disappointment or disillusionment with someone or something in our lives, we realize the power that expectations have over us. We may even find this true when we think we’re doing the best things. We change our thinking and start believing for something bigger and better for our lives, but then the bottom falls out. You know the feeling. For instance, we may have had high hopes that we’d be looking trimmer after following a new eating plan for a few weeks, but the mirror shows nothing. Here’s the trick: If you focus on results, even if you see initial results, it’s not going to last, because you’ll grow weary of it, be disappointed, and go back to your old ways. But if you’ll focus on changing your lifestyle to one of eating wisely, you change your motivation and tap into the power that will eventually bring the results you are looking for, and it will last!
