With this quick and simple Microwave Teriyaki Salmon dish, you may enjoy the lovely taste of salmon in next to no time. First, use a paper towel to wipe the salmon filets dry, and then transfer them to a bowl that is safe to put in the microwave. Spread a good amount of hoisin sauce and low-sodium teriyaki sauce over the salmon’s top and sides, making sure every piece is well covered in the delicious marinade. Let the salmon marinate in the fridge for at least 20 minutes, preferably overnight for maximum flavor absorption.
When the time for cooking comes, cover the bowl loosely with a microwave cover or plastic wrap that is appropriate for the microwave to avoid spills. Salmon should be microwaved for one to three minutes, watching closely to make sure it does not overheat and explode. Because salmon is lean, it cooks rapidly in the microwave, so you need to watch it carefully to get it perfectly done.
After the salmon is cooked to your preference, take it out of the microwave and give it a minute to rest so the liquids can redistribute and the flavors can interact. You may finish preparing the rest of your meal or just enjoy the delicious scent coming from the perfectly cooked salmon while it rests.
Sesame seeds can be added as a last touch to give the teriyaki salmon a nutty taste and appealing appearance. This Microwave Teriyaki Salmon recipe makes juicy, aromatic salmon in only a few minutes, making it a perfect choice for hectic days when you want a wonderful seafood dish without the burden of lengthy preparation. It may be eaten as part of an elegant meal or as a quick weekday dinner. Savor the flavor of teriyaki-infused fish with the ease of microwave cooking; it is quick, easy, and really tasty!

Ingredients
-
10oz (wild) salmon
- Use center-cut since it is the meatiest and less likely to dry out
- 2 teaspoons low sodium teriyaki sauce
-
1 tablespoon hoisin
- oyster sauce
- get low sodium if possible
- sesame seeds
Steps
Step 1
Pat salmon filets dry with a paper towel and then place in a microwave safe bowl. Rub the sauces all over the top and side of the salmon.
Cover and marinate for at least 20 minutes in the fridge or overnight.
Step 2
Loosely cover with microwave-safe plastic wrap or microwave cover. Cook for 1 – 3 minutes, monitoring to ensure it does not overcook and begin to explode (yes, salmon is very lean and will begin to pop if cooked too long).
Step 3
Remove from the microwave, ensure it is cooked to your liking, then let it rest for a minute while you prepare the rest of your meal.
Step 4
Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
