Did you know that avocado (also called alligator pear or avocado pear) is a large berry with a big single seed and originates from south-central Mexico? It’s rich in dietary fibers, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, Folate, vitamin E, and vitamin K. It’s usually served raw but is also used both in savory and sweet dishes.
To make this dish, the first thing that you need to do is to slice the salmon evenly into fillets. Combine all the seasonings and rub it on both sides.
In this recipe, I used the smoked salmon available on the store I went to buy the ingredients needed for this dish. It may be grilled, baked, or pan-seared and, once cooked top with salsa.
For avocado salsa, mash avocado in a bowl. Toss in the celery, red onion, cilantro or coriander, dijon mustard, cumin, lemon juice, greek yogurt, and pepper to taste.
Salmon with avocado salsa only takes a short prep time to make. Still, this grilled salmon recipe is full of flavor and nutrition — such as calcium, iron, protein, dietary fibers, vitamin A, vitamin C. I’m sure, whether you’re on a special diet or not, you’ll love this dish!
