Got a sweet tooth? And an air-fryer? Then I’ve got a quick and easy treat you can whip up to curb cravings.  Enjoy these with Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt, or your favorite frozen yogurt.  I made these for my friend’s kids and they really enjoyed it so it’s kid- (and adult-) friendly.

If you’re in the market for an air-fryer or have been thinking about purchasing one, then check out my air-fryer review that I did on one I received from Kohl’s.

Air-fried Banana Bites

Ingredients

Ingredients for 15 bites:

  • 3 medium bananas (cut each banana into 5  pieces)
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
    • Tip: blend raw oatmeal in a blender or food processor to create oat flour
  • 3/4 cup wheat panko
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Garnish
    • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
    • freshly ground cinnamon to taste
Steps
  1. Set air-fryer to 250F.
  2. Chop up each banana into at least 5 pieces.
  3. Mix together wheat panko, cinnamon, turmeric and 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar.
  4. Dip a banana piece into oat flour,  then egg white and then the panko mixture.  Repeat for the remaining bananas.
  5. Add a portion of the banana pieces to the air fryer bucket, careful not to crowd it.  Cook for about 10-12 minutes and gently shake the frying basket at the halfway mark.
  6. Spray the air-fried pieces with a little bit of coconut oil and garnish with coconut sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Enjoy immediately while warm!
