Air Fryer Banana Recipe

Ingredients

* Optional Substitution Note

Ingredients for 15 bites:

  • 3 medium bananas (cut each banana into 5  pieces)
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
    • Tip: blend raw oatmeal in a blender or food processor to create oat flour
  • 3/4 cup wheat panko
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Garnish
    • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
    • freshly ground cinnamon to taste

Steps

Step 1

Set air-fryer to 250F.

Step 2

Chop up each banana into at least 5 pieces.

Step 3

Mix together wheat panko, cinnamon, turmeric and 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar.

Step 4

Dip a banana piece into oat flour, then egg white and then the panko mixture. Repeat for the remaining bananas.

Step 5

Add a portion of the banana pieces to the air fryer bucket, careful not to crowd it. Cook for about 10-12 minutes and gently shake the frying basket at the halfway mark.

Step 6

Spray the air-fried pieces with a little bit of coconut oil and garnish with coconut sugar and cinnamon.

Step 7

Enjoy immediately while warm!
