Sticky Gold Rush BBQ Wings Ingredients
-
908 g chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated)
-
about 2lb
-
- 1 tbsp
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp raw honey
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
-
.34 g sea salt
-
pinch of sea salt to taste
-
Garnish
- cup fresh thyme
- cup green onion, chopped
Pro-tips
- For MAX crispiness: Toss wings in 1 tsp baking soda before air-frying. It raises the pH of the skin, allowing it to brown faster and get extra crispy.
-
- Note: If you use this method, go easy on added salt in the glaze since baking soda adds a slight saltiness.
- This glaze is versatile! Works just as well on grilled chicken thighs, tofu, or even roasted cauliflower if you’re meal prepping for the week. Or, just use it as a dip for fries!
Step 1
Prep the wings. Pat wings dry with paper towels — this is key for crispiness.
Step 2
Air-fry. Place wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 18–22 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Wings should be golden and crispy.
Step 3
Make the glaze. While wings finish in the air-fryer, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Whisk in honey, apple cider vinegar, and Gold Rush BBQ. Let it bubble for 30 seconds. Add a pinch of salt.
