Creamy Vanilla Bean Protein Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients for 2 servings

* Optional Substitution Note

  • 1/3 cup Almond Breeze almondmilk, vanilla flavor OR unsweetened
  • 10oz (284g) frozen banana
  • 1 vanilla bean (or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract)
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (vegan or whey isolate)
  • 3 tablespoons almond butter
  • Toppings (optional)
    • crushed pecans
    • unsweetened cacao nibs

Steps

Step 1

To a food processor (or high powered blender), add the ingredients in the order they are listed. Blend until smooth and thick.  Note: You may have to take off the top and scrape the sides using a spatula and blend again in order to fully mix all of the ingredients.  For a thicker consistency to create “scoopable” ice cream, add only 1/4 cup almondmilk and follow these steps.

Step 2

Add to a bowl with your favorite toppings – just remember to account for the added calories IF you are tracking your caloric intake since some ingredients like nuts and dark chocolate chips tend to be high in fat and/or sugar.
