Every once in a while you may get the urge to enjoy an alcoholic beverage with friends and family, especially to beat the summer heat. And if you’re new to a healthy lifestyle, there can be some anxiety about consuming alcohol.

Here’s a 125-calorie blueberry mojito that you can enjoy at home or at the next house party or cookout. Both you and your guests will love it.

If you enjoy making your own vodka cocktails, the blueberry vodka recipe is a perfect match for you. Pairs your favorite fresh blueberries and blackberries with vodka and mint springs, with hardly any effort.

Recipe preparation

For this low-calorie recipe, we won’t use a blueberry simple syrup as is the case in some other recipes. To begin, get a glass and add 1/4 cup of blueberries, 3 blackberries, chopped mint, 1 packet of sweetener and mash everything in a glass.

Add crushed into a glass, pour 1 shot of vodka on the top, a splash of club soda, and cranberry juice for some color and tart taste. Mix everything and garnish with fresh mint leaves and blueberries.

You can also mix everything up without vodka. Instead of vodka, add some lime juice and you will get fresh blueberry lemonade, the perfect nonalcoholic lemonade cocktail for hot summer nights.

I want to share with you 5 Drinking Tips for considering drinking. Tip number one, avoid drinking if you have aggressive weight loss goals. Sacrifice now, win later.

Tip two, drink about 16oz water for every alcoholic beverage to help you stay hydrated. Third tip, get active the day after drinking to remind yourself of your goals. Tip four, avoid mixed drinks which tend to be loaded with sugar. Tip five, no drinking and driving! Be responsible, not stupid.

Just be sure to check out the 5 FitMenCook Drinking Tips if and when you do decide to consume alcohol! Drink responsibly.
