Ingredients

Ingredients for 8 sliders
- Meat
- 1 1/2 lb 93% lean ground turkey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons The Fit Cook Everyday Blend
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup blue cheese crumble
- pinch of sea salt & pepper
- Sliders
- 8 (wheat) slider buns
- 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
- 1 medium cucumber, diagonally sliced
- 8 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 8 Romaine lettuce leaves
- Quick Caramelized Onions (OPTIONAL)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large white onion, sliced
- pinch of sea salt & pepper
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together the ingredients for the turkey sliders. Use an ice cream scoop or 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop to measure out each slider to keep them uniform. Alternatively you can measure out full sized burgers.
- Set a nonstick skillet on medium heat and once hot, spray with avocado or olive oil, then add the slider patties. Cook for 4 – 6 minutes on each side, or until the top/bottom are browned and the slider is cooked through.
- In a carbon steel skillet on medium heat and once hot, add olive oil and onion. As the onions saute and caramelize, add a pinch of sea salt to draw out sweetness. If desired, reduce the onions in 1/2 cup of (chicken/veggie/beef) broth, white wine, or water. Continue cooking until the onions are “wilted,” soft and golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- Build the sliders! Toast the buns then add Dijon, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, caramelized onions and the burger!
