Man! I have to admit that I had trouble ONLY eating 1 serving! These are incredibly delicious and a healthier (and cheaper) alternative to packaged seasoned nuts in the store.  This works well with other seasoning combinations as well so make them your own (and watch the sugar).

Perfect Crunchy BBQ & Healthy Roasted Nuts

Ingredients for 8 servings

Serving size: ~1/3 cup
  • Seasoning
    • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon mustard
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/3 cup coconut sugar (OR brown sugar OR swerve equivalent)
  • 1 egg white, beaten into foam/froth
  • Nuts (3 1/2 cups – any combination of your favorite nuts)
    • 1 1/4 cups raw pecan halves
    • 1 cup raw almonds
    • 1 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • pinch of sea salt & pepper (to taste)
  1. Set oven to 350F.
  2. Mix together the seasonings in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat an egg white until it becomes foamy or frothy, about 6 to 8 minutes.  It is VERY important that it becomes white and frothy.
  4. Add the nuts to the bowl, followed by the seasoning.  Mix everything together using a spatula and ensure every nut is covered in the seasoning.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, then add the seasoned nuts and spread them evenly on the tray, allowing them room to breathe.  Add a pinch of sea salt & pepper.
  6. Bake in increments of 8 minutes, shaking the tray or stirring the nuts each time.
  7. Allow them to cool to room temperature and get crispy.  Store them in an airtight container in a cool environment for up to 1 month.
