Since I have been traveling more lately, I find it challenging – yet doable – to stay disciplined and follow a diet that complements my fitness goals. However, I gotta admit that when I finally am able to return home, sometimes the last thing on my mind is grocery shopping.
TO ENSURE I DO NOT RANSACK THE NEAREST BURGER JOINT, I MAKE IT A HABIT TO KEEP FROZEN PROTEIN – AND EVEN SOME VEGGIES – IN THE FREEZER SO THAT I CAN AT LEAST PREPARE ONE GOOD MEAL BEFORE HAVING TO GO SHOPPING. SO, WHEN WITHOUT, GO BACK TO THE BASICS!
Here is one of my favorite “basic” meals that requires minimal ingredients – BBQ chicken stuffed sweet potato.
You’ll only need chicken, a sweet potato and low sodium BBQ sauce to make this meal happen. Perfect for a post-workout treat.
