Fried Green Tomatoes with Bison

Ingredients

Ingredients to make fried green tomatoes:

  • 1 green tomato
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free almond flour (you will likely not use ALL of the flour)
  • Choice of seasonings (low sodium)
  • 1/2 tbspĀ Kelapo coconut oil (use FITMENCOOK code for 10% discount)

Steps

Step 1

Cut green tomato into thick slices.

Step 2

Put almond four, garlic powder, pepper, pinch of sea salt, cumin into a bowl and mix.

Step 3

In another bowl, add 1 egg white.

Step 4

Set skillet on medium heat and add coconut oil.

Step 5

Place tomato slice in egg white mixture. Then place the slice in the flour & seasoning mixture. Coat both sides of the tomato.

Step 6

Place the tomato slice in the skillet and cook on both sides until brown. Careful not to burn.

Step 7

Smash them! They are delicious.
