Air Fried Almond Milk Nog Bread Balls

Prep: 120 min
Cook: 10 min
Total: 130 min

Ingredients for 40 Nog balls (macros for 1 ball)

(or just 1 large loaf 😅)
  • Wet
  •  Dry
    • 2 cups all purpose flour (or wheat flour)
    • 3/4oz (~2 teaspoons) baking yeast
    • pinch of salt
  • Glaze
  • spray avocado oil

Steps

Step 1

Mix together the wet ingredients in a cup or bowl.

Step 2

Mix together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the flour and stir well with a spatula until dough forms.  If needed, add tablespoons of flour if the mixture is too wet and sticky, and add tablespoons of Almond Breeze almondmilk nog if it is too dry.  Form the dough into a ball in the bowl and then cover with a towel to let it rise for 2 hours (make sure you store it in a dry place).

Step 4

After 2 hours, set the air fryer to 400F/204C (or oven to 420F/216C).

Step 5

Lightly flour a surface and empty the dough onto the surface. Roll it out (knead) with a rolling pin (or even a glass) once or twice, then form a ball. If you’re making the balls, cut the dough into pieces the size of golf balls. Place them on your air fryer tray (or baking sheet). Spray them with a little avocado oil (or brush with butter), then air fry for 8 – 10 minutes. Repeat until all the dough is used.

Step 6

In another bowl, mix together the ingredients for the glaze with a spatula.  When the balls are fresh out of the air fryer, dip them into the glaze then set them aside to dry.  You can even store them in the fridge until it is time to enjoy them!

Step 7

Enjoy with warm almond milk nog (maybe with a little adult beverage)!
