You can find inspiration to eat healthy just about anywhere! And what better excuse to exercise our “inner kid” – some would say geek and that’s ok, too – than by celebrating a new Avengers movie?!

So, here is a 6-day smoothie bowl challenge!

Each bowl is based off an Infinity Gem/Stone from Thanos’ gauntlet (glove).

While I cannot promise that you’ll gain total control of the universe by collecting all the stones – rather, making all 6 bowls –  I can promise that you’ll feel energized and inspired in your health and wellness journey.  Think about it – when’s the last time you enjoyed fresh raw veggies and fruits consistently for 6 days straight?  If you cannot think of a time, then let today be that moment.  Let’s get started.

GUIDELINES AND TIPS

  • Buy frozen fruits over fresh fruits – it’ll make the texture of the bowl much creamier, and it reduces food waste in the event you are unable to finish the challenge in 6 days and are forced to toss food.  Frozen fruits stay fresh in the freezer much longer!
  • NO artificial or added sugars allowed for this challenge! Only fruits, vegetables and dates.
  • Each smoothie has 4 main ingredients
  • Each bowl has the same base of frozen bananas to keep the grocery list limited and budget-friendly
  • Use OPTIONAL natural food coloring from superfood powders in order to BOOST colors and give an added punch of antioxidants.  You can also use spices and other natural items such as matcha green tea for a  vibrant green color to give color boosts.  Natural food coloring is especially helpful for  “unnatural” food colors such as blue.  If it’s important to you then you’ll definitely need to add natural food coloring.   Some suggested products I found on Amazon are listed below.
  • You can add your choice of protein powder if you’d like to boost the protein content but I recommend unflavored whey isolate protein powder so you can enjoy  as much of “nature’s candy” flavors as possible!
  • My favorite time to enjoy these bowls is after doing something physical – could be my treat after a workout, walking the dog or even after a long day at work/school.
  • Use a quality blender.  Always get what your budget will allow but think of purchasing kitchen gadgets as an investment in your health and wellness.  Remember, “cheap is expensive,” in that a discounted blender may sound like a good idea but what’s the point if you have to purchase the “same product” several times?  Just one quality purchase can likely last you a lifetime.  I’ll be using the Breville Super Q.
  • Add flavor and texture with some toppings!  These bowls are perfect as-is but feel free to let the colors inspire you to add some natural toppings to enhance them!  My favorites are cacao nibs,  crushed nuts/seeds, fresh fruit and even unsweetened shaved coconut.

  • ADJUST the recipes! The following ingredients make the creamiest bowls but you can tweak. If you’re trying to save on calories – just split the bowls into TWO servings or share it.   It’s easy!
