Got breakfast? Well, if you do not, you should! It is arguably the most important meal of the day, so even the busiest fitness enthusiast should spare a few minutes upon waking to fuel up for the day.

And in case you need an extra kick, this fully-loaded protein and superfood parfait has a jolt of caffeine so you can start your day right!

I prefer using Labrada Nutrition ISO Lean Pro because it has 0g carbs and 0g fat, allowing me to add 25g of lean protein to any meal.  Plus, it has a rich creamy flavor that mixes well with yogurt.

Red Eye Protein Parfait

Ingredients

* Optional Substitution Note

For 1 serving:

  • 1 scoop lean whey isolate protein powder
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee
  • ½ tbsp organic honey
  • 1/3 cup granola
  • ¼ cup blueberries

Steps

Step 1

Place half of the yogurt with Lean Pro, cacao powder, instant coffee and honey in a bowl.

Step 2

Mix all together until you have a smooth consistency.

Step 3

Place this in a glass jar or bowl, then top with the rest of the yoghurt, granola and blueberries.

Note 1: You do not have to make a layered version but it looks better with multiple colors. Note 2 : You can use chocolate protein powder as well but raw cacao powder has more antioxidants.
